As of January 14th, 2014, the number of neutral characters on Urban Dogma greatly outnumbered the amount of characters affiliated with a respective side. The plot of UD calls for rivalry and drama between the two families, but of course we cannot do this if the Families do not have members, and do not grow. There is an underdog family that is currently struggling for new members to rise up against the dominant organization in the area. We cannot have a build up of neutrals any longer.
Starting today, only one neutral will be allowed per player. This doesn't have to be the first player you make or the last player you make, but whenever you do make him/her, she will be the first and only neutral you control. This is to add more drama to the story. We cannot promise neutral characters prime interaction and therefore total involvement because they are not affected by the family affairs other than where they eat and where they live. As the admin, I have come to the point where I have grown nearly intolerable of statements resembling:
"I don't know where to begin."
"How do I get in the story?"
"What side should I join anyway?"
Please understand that this is all for you to decide, as this is YOUR character we are talking about. Getting into a family as soon as possible will guarantee you a great time in the future, I can assure of it. If any of these questions pop up, you will be referred to this announcement. We will do our best with neutrals, and nothing less, but we can only do so much. This is why we heavily advise making your characters more involved by serving a crime family.
Thank you,
Leonardo
