Here are a few things you should consider whenever making your characters.
1.No wolves, foxes, etc. This is an urban setting, and therefore it's all about the city life. Dogs and cats only. Absolutely no wolfdogs or anything of the sort. Please don't even ask about this, because it's not going to happen.
2.While this about strays and feral dogs, we do allow people to control pets as well. But keep in mind that these pets will be RPing with strays. Don't make things awkward for yourself.
3.This is a semi-realistic RPG, meaning that while our dogs and cats think and talk as if they were humans, they are STILL normal everyday animals and cannot fly, use magic, be strange colors, etc. We will allow eye customization once a store is added. We may also allow the purchase of enhanced strength and speed, but nothing too major. Keep it real.
4.Remember this is the 1960s. Many things you may reference in everyday conversations do not exist yet and won't for at least 20 years. Be careful to respect the times.
5.We are going to be lenient with purebreds as long as they are common breeds. If your breed is rare or expensive (Such as an Afghan) and it is a stray or feral, then you will need to mix it's blood or provide an excellent and practical explanation as to why it is on the streets.
6.You can have as many characters as you want. Stay active with them though.
7.Characters cannot have pets or special objects without them being one in contest or purchased from a store. We will make this way easier for people than other sites do, trust that.
8. Because the plot calls for rivalry and drama between the families, we can only have so many neutrals characters before profiles start to look like repeats. As of January 14th, 2014, We have almost 10 neutral characters, far outnumbering those affiliated with families. Until further notice, only one character per member will allowed to be neutral. If the person makes other characters, they have to pick a side.
