Things were slow today. It made Crowley nervous. He didn't do dull moments. He had been running Alfonso and Lorenzo's asses off all day trying to gather up various things to please the new member he had gotten. Vivian, her name was, and she was a doll. Little rough and abrasive, but Crowley liked that about her. They had been hauling all of her things that she simply 'had to have' from Bath Beach. Crowley now watched as Alfonso drug the large sliver of a mirror into the church and down the hallway behind the altar to the room Vivian had claimed as hers. The boys were all too willing to jump at the chance to do something for her, and Crowley found it comical as he sent her an amused look as she headed into the church behind them.
"Oh, Alfonso! Don't scratch it!" The woman called after him, and Crowley chuckled. Things were always interesting around there. Now he had a whore on his payroll. How much stranger could this family get? Crowley looked up as the husky mix poked her head out of the doorway. "I'm taking some of this fabric from the pews." She said, informing, not asking. Crowley rolled his eyes and trotted over to her.
"Ask Rua. It's hers." He said as he walked past her into the sanctuary. He went immediately to his chair, his throne. Slow days were terrible. He needed something. "How are we on the System, Lorenzo?"
The shepherd looked up, and thought for a moment. "Nearly there. Thanks to Analise convincing that Jack Russell."
Crowley nodded, thinking of Analise for a moment before turning his attention back to Viva. "Leave the fabric for now. We don't need Rua distressed."
The husky mix huffed a sigh and stormed off down the hallway, cooing to Alfonso as she did. Crowley shook his head, casting an amused look to Lorenzo. "Go make sure she doesn't kill him when he breaks that thing."
Lorenzo nodded and took off down the hallway as well. Crowley sighed again, resting his head on the arm of the chair and looking out at the sanctuary, running numbers through his head. By his count, they had a few more dogs to convert and the System was theirs for the taking. He stood, shaking his pelt free of dust and reminding himself to get the idiots to clean up later. He headed for the door, needing to get some air and some time away from Viva the Diva. He smirked at the little name he had given her. He headed around back, sitting in the empty lot next to the church that they used for fighting and taking out aggression. His mind kept running rapidly over the idea of taking the System. If he could figure out a good smuggling route, they could rake in 25 pounds of meat bi-weekly easily. But that wouldn't be an easy feat, and it wouldn't be enough to maintain the family. There needed to be more. Crowley wanted more. He wanted it all, every slice of Leonardo's territory and business and he would stop at nothing until it was his.
He heard a large crash come from inside the church and then a loud female scream as Alfonso came scrambling out of the door and away from the husky mix. Crowley shook his head and sat down in the grass, amused by the family, for the moment.
