NAME: Koi
GENDER: Female
AGE: 5 years
BREED: French Bulldog
APPEARANCE: Koi is like any little french bull dog. Short, squat, and heavily boned. Her face is smashed in as if she ran into a wall and her eyes are a bit on the bulbous side like those of a pekingese. She is not traditionally pretty.....many would not consider her pretty at all. The one word that is thrown her way more than any other is cute.....and she has learned to hate it. Cute face, cute stubby tail, cute little short legs.....Oh how she hates the word. But lacks the vocal capacity to call anyone on it. Her eyes are dark brown almost black, and appear ebony in all but the strongest light. Her tone is brindle. Being a mash of light brown and black which has created an almost tiger striping effect across her body. The brindling is more prominent around her face and rear and seems to fade in her mid section to an almost solid brown hue. Her neck has small wrinkles of skin that hang to and fro when she walks. And her tail is little more than a stump. All in all she is a very compact little dog, a big dog smashed into the body of a small dog. And she acts like she has no idea that she is the perfect size to fit in a lady's purse.
PERSONALITY: Koi is not really all that hard to understand when it comes to her personality. In general if you are nice to her she will be nice to you in return. She is not a killer, even if she wanted to be with her jaw formation it would be nearly impossible. However she is very agile and can get around surprisingly well for a dog her size. She is bad for holding grudges.....about pretty much anything. You wrong this little bitch once and you might never have the opportunity to do it again. She is a very sneaky little dog and can wiggle into places unknown to the canines around her. She hates that she can not speak and envies those who can.
She has pretty much no temper, as in it is almost impossible to get her angry. But her feelings get hurt rather easily and quickly. She loves the companionship of others, just being in the presence of another dog makes her happy. Perhaps it is from all that time spent as the only canine in the house while she was being shuffled around from home to home. She hates being alone, and if she does ever get accepted to be part of one of the local packs she will probably Velcro herself to a single canine.
She does not let life get her down. And unsurprisingly thanks to her hyper nature it is hard for her to focus on anything for an extended period of time. On occasion she will forget what she was doing simply because her mind is moving in a thousand different directions at the same time. If there is one area of Koi's life that she seems to be lacking in it is the love department. She has never mated, ever. Even when her owners stuck her with a stud dog to have some pricey little pups she refused. Because of the simple fact that she thinks you should not mate with someone you do not love. So you will not catch this little lady in any back alleys with the wandering male.
HISTORY: Koi was purchased as a young pup from a breeder in Europe. Her bloodlines are pristine as a mountain creek. However just because you purchase an expensive pooch it does not mean that you will get exactly what you were looking for. There are two things about Koi that her new owners soon discovered to be intolerable. One being that she was unable to bark, instead a high pitched gasping like sound would leak from between her lips. As her vocal cords never fully formed. Secondly is that she is hyper.....very hyper. Were talking bouncing off the walls, chewing up the sofa, and eating the tv all at the same time. It didn't take long for them to grow tired of her and she was sold for a fraction of the price. Her new owners experienced much the same thrill and disappointment. And it wasn't long before she found herself in another new home. This time when she acted up there was no where left to go and she was turned in to the local animal shelter. Luckily for Koi she had learned how to climb chain link fencing already, and it was no feat for her to hook her small paws into the wire and make her way over the kennel.
Since her escape she had been wandering the streets alone, unable to be accepted into any normal pack because of her lack of communication. She has heard of the two packs that rule here and has contemplated trying to affix herself to them. However she fears the rejection that she has faced so many times already....
