Fideltà. Potenza.Rispetto.
Alpha Name: Leonardo Mancini
Biography: Click
Audition: It was a happy night.
So many dogs were here in the warehouse. The buzz of low talking mixed with the sound of pleasant Italian symphony. The room smelled of expensive cologne and fragrant, delicious meats drew everyone to the table. No one ate, however. They waited for the Boss. As was the custom.
Vinny sat at the door, smiling at entering guests and answering questions.
"Ow ya doin? Pleashah t'meet ya, miss. Please, 'ave a seat. Da boss will be wit us shortly."
Francesco came out from nowhere, as usual. He slunk out from behind the crimson, silk curtains, smiling at guests and approaching Vinny. He smelled of a distinct cologne....one that Vinny had given him. It was strong.
"You's wearin' Italian Red?"
"Yea."
"What 'appened? You spill da bottle?"
"....You 'ave no idea 'ow 'ard it is to get the damn t'ing open widdout opposable thumbs."
Vinny laughed. "I 'eard dat." Looking over to the stage, he noticed another dog give them a heads up. "Pauli says it's time. Let's 'ope dis goes well."
The pitbull and the cat strolled up to the stage. Frankie sat in the back and Vinny to the front, getting everyone's attention with a few deep barks. "Everyone? Everyone? Settle down please. Fuist of all, I'd like to personally thank ya fuh comin' out t'night. We appreciate 'ow patient and controlled ya've kept ya'selves. Ya've made da three of us real 'appy." The guests howled in gratitude. Vinny continued. "An' now, introducing Leonardo Mancini...my Godfather, and our Don."
And then the great Rottweiler revealed himself. He smiled down on the cheering guests, gratefully. This was his new family. These, were his children.
"'Ow ya doin? 'Ow's da food? Good, good? Aright den. I'd like to second what my Godson said. Ain't 'e a well mannahed kid? Eh? He's available ladies, a real catch, ain't 'e?" Everyone laughed at the embarrassed Vinny. "Now lets get down to business, shall we? All of ya are 'ere to participate in da creation of a brothah hood. A family. A fraternity. La Fraternità. An' what do we do in dis fraternity, you ask? What types of business does a guy like Leonardo thrive on? Imma tell you straight. We're cleanahs. A community, in most all respects, can be metaphorically related to a machine. It's gotta work well, see, to be successful. An' sometimes, no, all da time, prollems show up. Maybe somethin' needs to be fixed, maybe somethin' needs to be cleaned or replaced. But no mattah what 'appens, the community will do anythin' to make sure dat prollem is gone. An' dats where we come in. We're da handymen. Da Cleanahs. We remove dat prollem, by any means necessary. Puymanently.
Our operation thrives on three simple principles. You violate one o' dese principles, you become a prollem to da community. Which means I, as a cleanah, will take care of you.
Fideltà. Loyalty. You should not only be loyal to da organization, but each odda. We's a family. An' families function on trust. You don't trust me, den ow's I gonna trust you? If yous gotta prollem wit anyone, anyone at all, you speak to me about it, and I'll 'andle it. Furtha' more, peddlin' ain't aloud. If I finds out yous been using my resources be'ind my back, you'll be taking a Wet Nap by da end of da day.
Potenza. Powah. Ain't nobody gonna mess wit us. Nobody gonna sneeze on our turf widdout askin'. Nobody gonna kill a rat or steal a slice of jerky widdout getting permission fuist. Dat's how we run things. We will 'ave trained offisas at every station in our turf, an' different dogs assigned at different trading posts. We invest in all sorts of trade. Except trafficking. Everything will be done efficiently. If you do ya job, I'll make ya rich. Plan an' simple. We can make anyone do anything if we truly wanted to, because we are the pictures of success.
Rispetto. Respect. Dis is da third an' da most important to me. It's important because you can't 'ave it widdout da fuist two. Widdout loyalty, no one will wary of us. Widdout powah, people will walk all ovah us. No matter what you do, no mattah where ya go, ya gonna treat oddas wit respect until dey do oddawise. When people get wise wit us, we'll put 'em in their place, an' smile about it. We don't trespass on odda leadah's turf. Dey won't trespass on ours. We'll run a tight ship. I'll bust anyone for disrespecting me. I won't 'ave it. An' I definitely won't stand for it when it's being done to my family an' friends. Nobody gonna push us around. We call da shots. We make da ordas. We run da show. No concorso.
There ya 'ave it folks. We's strays, but dat doesn't mean we 'ave to be savages. It's about survival, sure, but it ain't about diggin' through trash an' fightin' in da streets. It's about bein' professional. It's a business. It's all about 'ow you're willin' to live life in da next few years. You can join anodda pack an' feel like a badass, but you'll always feel like you're hated or dat odda membas are after you. But join The Fraternity, an' experience life as you nevah 'ave before. Be part of an Organization. Be part of a Commonwealth. Earn respect through loyalty and power, an' be feared as well. Be da best yous can be....
Be cool."
The System
Interestingly, Leonardo Mancini has discarded the traditional dog-eat-dog ranking system. He has dropped everything that seemed "savage" and has promoted new ideas, hefty tasks, and greater commonwealth. He doesn't believe in Alpha or Beta, rather less offensive terms. Here is his proposed plan.
The Don (The Boss): The Boss is a person who can balance leadership and family in the same hand. It title given to a person who can apply class to savagery, a person who can be a socialite in one evening, and a warrior the next. The Boss is a person experienced in diplomacy, business, and above all, style. This is a person who can never, ever tolerate any form of disrespect. A person whose enemies look up to him. A person who is unmistakably center of all operations, and keeps EVERYONE in check. Someone who is loved and feared at the same time; by both friends and foes alike. This person is the Don. This person, is Leonardo Ricardo Mancini.
Mano Destra (Right Hand): Everything public goes through the Right Hand before it reaches The Don. Turf boundaries, public affairs, assignments, leading mobs, etc. The Right Hand is The Don's most trusted ally and often his greatest friend. Someone in this position would most definitely need to have experience and, in some cases, could have an age advantage and be wiser than the Don himself.
Mano Sinistra (Left Hand): Everything behind the scenes is handled by the Left Hand. The only thing the Left hand does publicly is recruiting, alongside the Right Hand. The Left Hand deals with assassins and hitmen, orchestrating "jobs" and training those who reinforce the levels of fear and respect in the community. The Left Hand would also be a skilled killer as well. Someone with utter patience and great fighting capacity would be an ideal choice for The Left Hand.
Direttore (Turf Director): These are stationed in different points of the region, allowing for different threads to be opened representing La Fraternità. These directors are like mini-managers. They run their stretch, conducting trade and relaying information to the Headquarters. When a turf war is at stake, Turf Directors are the immediate leaders and take directions from the Right Hand. They are expected to be brash, brutal, and demand and grant respect.
Muscolo (Bruisers): Literally the muscle of a Turf Organ. Bruisers help those hard of understanding "see things our way". They are blunt, aggressive, and STRONG. Pitbulls, boxers, and other bulldog types are ideal bruisers, but anyone with an attitude that says "Don't FWM" will do. Bruisers make up the bulk of a Mob and are usually young, massive dogs.
Notte Bambini (Assassins/Hitmen) For those who are as stealthy as they are intelligent, and wit sharper than their blade like teeth, there is The Children of the Night. Francesco Sardelli leads this organization of Hitmen for La Fraternità. They are Leonardo's most prized segment. The Notte Bambini are the cleaners. The fixers. They kill with precision and accuracy. They are smooth and elegant. In public they are the life of the party--but when the lights go out, they take life with the skill built up over a thousand jobs. Agents of this segment are roamers. They can be anywhere, at anytime. They will always receive the information for the job they are to complete. Francesco will make sure of it. Members of the Notte Bambini are pictures of stealth and deception. They should be cunning, smooth, and deadly.
Sabotatore (Saboteurs): Just as stealthy as the Notte Bambini, Saboteurs are creatures of the night, rushing the target in great numbers, often teaming up with bruisers to destroy property. They rip everything apart. Nothing is safe from the snapping jaws of a Sabotatore. Double crossing The Boss can result from a visit from these special soldiers. They serve as a warning. They say "Next time...it will be you...." Small, terrier type dogs are ideal Saboteurs.
POLICY ON WOMEN
A very important point. Leonardo Mancini personally holds females in high regard. They are the apple of his eye, and he treats them with utmost respect. Naturally, women in La Fraternità are prized. Unlike most packs, they are not treated as sexual property or simple "puppy makers". Their input is valued and respected. When Leonardo sees a female, he does not see an object of sex, but an object of intellect and sophistication. He sees joy. Those to direct abuse to women...will receive abuse from The Boss. Directly. Zero tolerance.
